OUR STORY

BBQ has always been in Archer Bagley’s blood. As a kid, Archer was immersed in the BBQ culture of his hometown Memphis,TN. Some of his fondest memories were loading up in his father’s car and heading to Brady and Lil’s on Saturday nights. This was always the highlight of his week. When Archer was a teenager, Corky’s BBQ opened in his neighborhood. Archer was one of the first patrons through the door. Over the years, he ate at all the great BBQ joints in the Bluff City, and kept a list of what stood out from each one. This would come in handy later in his life.

 

Archer’s first foray into the BBQ business was in Atlanta, GA., where he was one of the initial investers in Fox Brothers BBQ. He learned the in’s and out’s of the business, and after a few years, Archer struck out on his own. He sold his shares in Fox Brothers and moved to Knoxville to open the first Archers BBQ. Over the past decade, Archers has gone from one location to five in the Knoxville area. Archers is consistently voted Best BBQ in Knoxville in the knoxnews.com BEST OF competition and is listed as 1 of the 25 best BBQ joints in Tennessee by bigseventravel.com. 

 

Archer Bagley has one mission and that is to serve Knoxville the best tasting BBQ on the planet. He is as passionate about BBQ today as he was when he was a youngster in Memphis, getting ready for another Saturday night at Brady and Lil’s. BBQ has always been a part of Archer’s life and now it’s a part of life in Knoxville.

The process begins with the perfect amount and type of wood, high quality meat, the Archer’s BBQ signature dry rub, the right temperature level, and the perfect amount of time. Once off the smoker, the meat is double wrapped and brought to you. Because BBQ should be pulled or sliced fresh.
